A Poem

Past Days Gone By

Locked in the confines of perfection,
Finding it difficult to find direction,
Breaking through she finally became,
A reaction, ferocious, completely untamed.

The energy propelling her on a journey did,
Take her to places where she was no longer hid,
From the world which knew her not,
Afraid she would be pushed aside and rot.

This journey did naturally in due time,
Bring a certain calmness to her mind,
Finding pieces of herself she gradually,
Felt herself become free magically.

A glance around, she clearly sees,
A place she always longed to be,
Without knowing it, true perhaps,
The cosmos on her shoulder lightly taps.

All of the journey of past days gone by,
Like dust in her palms gloriously held high,
As she gently purses her lips and blows,
Drifts off in the distance; she finds her repose.

Meditation For The Poem

Our life’s journey takes us through many different experiences. Every one of these experiences is part of a path which eventually leads us to come to realise who we really are. As we progress on this path, we can sometimes get fixated on the events of the past and are then unable to let go of them. From a consciousness perspective, this just means that we have not internally realised the phenomena associated with those experiences.
