We are all unrealised world teachers. A world teacher is not born, they are made through their choices, decisions and actions.

We often like to look back at the great world teachers, each of whom have come at different pivotal periods in human history, and revere their works. The impact that they had on the world is something that is undeniable, so much so that their works are still clearly visible thousands of years later. We also often find that the collection of teachings and various works they left behind subsequently end up becoming the basis of a religion or faith tradition. These teachings create a certain fertile ground upon which that religious system is able to sprout and develop from. Although we can be grateful for the influence that these individuals have had on the world, doing so in a less-then-conscious manner will often result in us becoming lost in the phenomenon of the world teacher, this phenomenon developing into a block in our conscious perception in the process.

To that end, it is worth us looking at the phenomenon of the world teacher in greater detail, as doing so and understanding the process one goes through to become a world teacher can help us to significantly shift our own conscious perception. It is also worth briefly noting that in their own times many of these individuals were often ignored, ostracised, persecuted or even killed by the very people they were eventually shown to have helped. It is worth bringing this fact into the reader’s awareness, because we all too often struggle to retain the particular nature of the phenomenal circumstances they encountered during their time in our awareness when discussing them thousands of years later. Perhaps in the particular case of Jesus, being one of these great world teachers, these more difficult parts of his story are far easier to hold in our awareness, owing to the fact that his crucifixion has become a key part of the Christian doctrine.

The point being made here is that we are able to gain certain insights from us looking at the phenomenon of the world teacher consciously, these insights then becoming relevant to our own development. In this relatively short article we will only focus on a specific aspect of the phenomenon of the world teacher. We won’t even take any time to specifically try to define what a world teacher is, as we will assume that the reader has enough of an inkling as to what is being inferred by the use of this phrase. The specific aspect of the phenomenon of the world teacher that we are discussing in this short article is related to the fact that many of these world teachers end up becoming linked to past lives as prominent figures, often as some prophet or mystic from their own distant past, as well as a variety of different myths.
